It's killing me not to put money on Bush. I'm sure he's going to win, all polls aside, but the idea of making money off of this is tough to swallow. Kinda like betting against your team ...

See, now there's a compromise I could just never make. I'm already starting to lose it given that I have to wait another week and a half to lay a playable bet. I'm starting to think I should get into hockey to keep me occupied through the offseason.

I'm sure the lines will stay pretty close up until the last debate. I just wanted to get something out there. Was kidding about the football as I look to make some money and keep it this year, following the likes of you and others.

Hmmm ... what do you mean by 'following'? While I made money last year, my win/loss ratio was not so good, just under 45%. That said, I improved as the season went on, last year being the first time I gambled outside of public humiliation sidebets with friends (oh, we've had some doozies.) In fact, I have one right now with another Minny fan ... he's got them to win 10.5 ... I took the under. What's your take on their camp so far?

Is there somewhere that you can bet on the popular vote outcome but not necessarily the electoral college winner? Maybe an over/under type thing? I could make a play on that and keep my conscience intact I think.
